Once upon a time...

All good stories start with once upon a time... don't they?
This chapter of my story begins in 2005, when I started teaching Kindergarten at North Myrtle Beach Primary School.  I have not always been a beach comber. I was born in Pittsburgh, PA (Go Steelers!), but I did much of my growing up in the hills of West Virginia. I moved to North Myrtle Beach to start my career and could not have asked for a better place to be. Since moving to NMB, I have married my supportive husband, Erik, served as a Reading Recovery® teacher, completed my master's degree in technology, achieved my national board certification, and had an adorable baby boy, Eden - in that order! I am currently working on my common core black belt certification through the Common Core Institute and trying to keep up with my Pinterest addiction. To be continued...
